The calculator works out how much wax, fragrance and dye you need for a candle, what wick to use, and what it costs to make — you don't need an account for any of this.
Choose one of two methods at the top of the "Mold" card:
Choose a wax type (soy, paraffin, beeswax, coconut), or tap 🧪 Blend cere / Wax blend next to the wax dropdown to mix two or three waxes by percentage — useful if you work with a custom blend rather than a single wax. Then set your fragrance load with the slider (0–12%).
The Results card shows how much wax and fragrance to weigh out, a suggested wick size, an estimated burn time, and a wick guide broken down by real wick brands (see below). The Cost card totals what that candle costs you to make, based on the prices you enter for wax, fragrance, dye, wick and container.
The "Fix a problem" card walks through the most common candle problems — tunneling, frosting, sinkholes, poor scent throw, wet spots and more — and for each one lists the likely causes and how to fix them on your next batch.
Shown inside the Results card: for your container's diameter, suggested wick sizes across four real wick families (CD, ECO, HTP, wood wicks). It's a starting point — your final choice still depends on fragrance load, dye and pour temperature, so always test.
Also inside Results: a rough burn-time estimate based on your wax quantity and container. Treat it as a ballpark, not a lab measurement.
Signing in is optional for the free calculator, and required only for saving recipes and for Premium. Candle Calculator uses Google sign-in only — there's no separate password to create or remember.
The calculator is available in Italian, English, Spanish, German and French — switch anytime with the flags/codes in the top right. Your choice is remembered on your next visit.
Toggle between metric and imperial units, and pick your currency from the dropdown next to it. Both are saved locally in your browser.
Premium is €4/month, billed automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time by emailing falumacandles@gmail.com — you'll keep full Premium access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. Amounts already paid aren't refunded, except where the law requires it.
Yes — payments are handled entirely by Stripe, a payment processor used by millions of businesses. We never see or store your card number.

Yes. Recipes, containers, inventory, cure batches, invoices and your fragrance library are all private to your account. The one exception is Community recipes: any recipe you choose to publish there becomes visible to other signed-in users, along with the author name and notes you decide to include — everything else stays private. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
Inventory and Cure tracker both check daily and can notify you by email when an item falls below its minimum threshold or a batch finishes curing. We're still finalizing email delivery on our end, so during this period a notification email may occasionally not arrive — the reliable way to check status is always inside the app itself (the low-stock warning and the "Ready!" batch badge are both real-time). This will be fully resolved as we complete setup; the in-app indicators are unaffected either way.
No. It checks your recipe against the maximum percentage and allergens you enter for each fragrance, taken from your supplier's own IFRA certificate and safety data sheet. It's a helpful cross-check against data-entry mistakes, not a substitute for your supplier's documentation or for legal/regulatory advice on your specific market.
Nothing is deleted. Recipes, containers, inventory, invoices, cure batches and your fragrance library all stay in your account — you simply lose access to the Premium features (and their screens) until you resubscribe. If you'd like your account and data deleted entirely, email us and we'll take care of it.
Yes — the entire free calculator (wax, fragrance, dye, wick, cost, wick guide, burn time, troubleshooting wizard) works without signing in. An account is only needed to save recipes or use Premium.
